UK Energy Management was founded in 2010 and incorporated in 2013, looking after clients from all over the UK across many sectors. We offer a bespoke approach to our utility consultancy services because we consider ourselves part of your business, but as an outsourced utilities consultant.
UK Energy Management offers an objective and tailored view on your energy requirements. Whether you need a full spectrum energy management service, or you want to utilise individual services, we can find a solution that suits your budget and your ethos.
At UK Energy Management we embrace techniques and tools to enhance and improve our processes. We have adapted Six Sigma and 5S methodologies (Lean Six Sigma when combined) often more associated with processes within manufacturing and production; and tailored them to various processes in the energy industry – from procurement to continuous improvement in energy efficiency.
The Six Sigma method seeks to improve the quality of the output of a process by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability. It uses a set of quality management methods, mainly empirical, statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organisation who are experts in these methods.
Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organisation follows a defined sequence of steps and has specific value targets, for example: reduce process cycle time, reduce pollution, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and increase profitability.
The decision-making process usually comes from a dialogue about standardisation, which builds understanding among employees of how they should do the work. As well as being utilised in employee engagement – this methodology creates processes that UK Energy Management follow to ensure improvements are continually assessed and optimised.
